A.R. Horvath (Anthony Horvath) has been writing for as long as he can remember. Various life experiences have inspired the Birth Pang series. Influences include C.S. Lewis, both his fiction (eg., “the Screwtape Letters,” “Chronicles of Narnia,” and “The Great Divorce”) and his non-fiction (eg., “Mere Christianity”), as well as J.R.R. Tolkien’s “Lord of the Rings.” While Anthony thoroughly enjoys the Harry Potter books, their influence stops short a little earlier than Tolkien’s and Lewis’s, though perhaps all three author’s ideas manifest in the Birth Pangs series. Anthony has a bachelors degree in pastoral ministry with a minor in theological languages (Greek and Hebrew), but is not a pastor. He is the father of three children and has been married to his wife for nine years. Currently, he is enrolled in a masters degree program, is a stay-at-home dad, and… a writer.
